Lot Details
13th to 16thC. A brown stoneware figure of a nude woman with a topknot, kneeling and holding a child looking forward below her breasts. The brown glaze applied above her waist. 6.2 x 6.4 x 13.2 cm. A comparable figure is found in: Dick Richards, South-East Asian ceramics: Thai, Vietnamese, and Khmer (Kuala Lumpur: Oxford University Press, 1995), p. 135, pl. 87 (Art Gallery of South Australia 708C188).
